At Community Living Walkerton & District, we understand the importance of a safe, supportive, and inclusive home environment. Our Supported Group Living Program, also known by our funders as Accommodation Supports, is designed to provide people with diverse abilities a place they can truly call home. We believe in the power of community, and our program reflects our commitment to creating living spaces where everyone can thrive, build connections, and lead fulfilling lives.
Our residences are carefully designed to provide inclusive living spaces.
The people who participate in this voluntary program enjoy the benefits of living in a community that values diversity, respect, and mutual support.
We recognize each individual is unique, with their own strengths, aspirations, and support needs.
Our person-centered approach ensures the support provided is tailored to the specific requirements of each person, fostering independence and individual growth.
You pick your meals, you make your own choices. We support you on your journey. All our services are not mandatory and a person may choose to leave support at any time. Individual rights and freedoms are at all times respected and supported.
Our dedicated support staff is available around the clock to provide support and guidance. Our team does with you, not for you, constantly encouraging independence and skill building.
You have access to a team of professional support staff committed to creating a nurturing environment, prioritizing well-being and personal development.
Our program goes beyond providing a place to live; it focuses on empowering people with the skills needed for living as independently as possible.
Every day is an opportunity to participate in skill-building activities enhancing your daily living skills and promoting self-sufficiency.
