Supported Group Living

At Community Living Walkerton & District, we understand the importance of a safe, supportive, and inclusive home environment. Our Supported Group Living Program, also known by our funders as Accommodation Supports, is designed to provide people with diverse abilities a place they can truly call home. We believe in the power of community, and our program reflects our commitment to creating living spaces where everyone can thrive, build connections, and lead fulfilling lives. This program is not funded to provide housing.

Who can Access Our Supported Group Living Program?

Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) is the government agency responsible for confirming your eligibility. Part of the eligibility process includes confirming you are an adult (18+) who does not live in their family home, cannot live independently due to their developmental diagnosis, and needs 24-hour support to live meaningfully in the community.

The DSO determines eligibility and manages the current wait list. As vacancies occur, they are filled by the DSO and those on the waitlist. We do not provide intake or have access to influence this list. This program is not funded to provide housing.

The Phone number for DSO Southwest region is:  1 (855) 437-6797.

For more information on the process please visit the DSO website.
