To assist people with disabilities to find and secure employment. Job placement services will help supported people to research the job market while developing job skills.
e.g. resume writing and interviewing, trying out various kinds of work, locating opportunities for work hardening or on the job training, securing paid employment and maintaining it.

Unpaid Fully Insured Work Trials

Our unpaid work trials are beneficial for all involved. They allow a fully insured potential employee to “show their stuff” to a potential employer for up to 2 full weeks prior to hiring them.  As well, the unpaid work trials give our staff the chance to make an evaluation as to the supported person’s potential for successful employment in the long term while also determining what types of workplace accommodations need to be made.

Job Coaching

Job Coaching assists a newly hired employee to attain productivity that matches other workers and to help the individual deal with work performance issues. Job coaching usually involves extensive liaison with both the employee and the employer to ensure successful outcomes and ongoing employment.

Job Retention

We will continue to support people with disabilities and their employers for up to 3 years from the time a new employee started a job.  The support may involve on-site visits if requested, additional job coaching if duties change, assistance with employer accommodations, brief meetings or consultations to problem solve any issues that may arise from time to time.
