Membership Does Make A Difference…

Since 1956, Community Living Walkerton and District, a not-for-profit organization, has been committed to assisting people who have an intellectual disability and their families. It began with our grass roots origin - families formed the Association – and continues today within the governance of our volunteer Board of Directors.

While the day to day operations of the services and administration of the organization lay with the Executive Director and staff, members and families continue to influence our supports and services.  We actively encourage and benefit from the input of family members, self-advocates, volunteers, staff and community organizations and businesses.

A membership will provide you with a voice in this local Association and Community Living Ontario as we respond to local and provincial challenges. You also benefit by being kept up-to-date through our newsletter, Vision.  Your voice can make a difference since membership provides you the opportunity to vote at our Annual General Meeting held each year in June.

Help our membership grow and support opportunities for all people! Ask us about hiring a person with a disability. We can bring employers and people with intellectual disabilities together to create mutually beneficial employment relationships.

If you are a business interested in learning more about the opportunity to provide meaningful employment to someone we support, please contact Charlene Hayes 519 881 3713 ext. 207
